A shorter version of the Happy Trails 200. An easy route about 90% on trails with a smooth gravel section. For riders wishing to do the RUSA Rouler series, this is is a required distance.
Thanks for organizing. I enjoyed the ride.
On the return, I would suggest riding the state park road and Kent Lake Beach Road from the railroad tracks to the east end of the east parking lot and taking the paved trail to the corner of Grand River and Kent Lake Road.
It would be road riding on a 25mph road that is known for a lot of bike traffic with a much better surface than Grand River.
Thanks
Great route!!
I hit 91 miles when I got back to the parking lot. Garmin had me turned around a bit and I had to backtrack at one point to fetch radar that fell off the mount. I wanted to get my first century so I continued to Pontiac and back to WB for 100 miles total. I have a picture of my computer at the finish with 91 miles on the display if you need that. I do not recommend the return routing on Grand River. The road surface was bad for a while and it felt unsafe with traffic on my own. I would have rather used more of the rail trail on the return. Thank you for organizing! It was a great first Randonneur experience!
